The “battle of the sexes” started with Adam and Eve. Probably, it will continue forever. Indeed, the opinion that men are superior to women has long been accepted in many cultures. However, the feminist movement is trying to change this view. In addition, feminists claim that boys and girls are exactly equal at birth but become unequal because of the way they are treated by society. Therefore, feminists believe education has contributed to the gender inequality. On the other hand, recent research contradicts the view that males and females are innately alike.

In the past two weeks, I have been working on the dpartmental chorus. We are going to have a competition on Nov.24 with other dapartments. The song we are going to present will be The Song oh Mt.Ali. However, it has not been easy for us to sing well. It is a song that shows the beauty of Taiwan's moutain and the energy of people living there. Therefore, it is important to present the power of the song. Oh, I am almost late for the rehearsal. See you later.

In the recent years, more and more people are becoming vegetarians. The reason for this situation is that the food we eat is salty and oily. Vegetarians believe that having only vegetables would make their body healthier and stronger. On the other hand, they think having vegetables is good for the earth and animals. They believe having meat is to kill lives.
In my opinion, having only nutrition from vegetables is not enough. We might get sick easily because of not having efficient nutrition from animals. We need to have meat to support our body energy. We can save the earth by using environmental friendly products or something like that. Killing animals does not do harm to the mother earth. It is how nature works.

Exercise 1

1. People who choose vegetarianism may think that eating only vegetables is more healthy.

2. It is likely that same-sex marriage not be legalized because this might make impact on and mislead teenagers who are sexually confused.

3.One of the possibilities that people choose tattoos is that they think tattoos make them become cool. They may also regard tattoos as fashionable marks.

Journal 1

It has been three weeks since we studied here in Chaoyang. We have met a lot of new friends; learned many new things. There have been also many extracurricular activities for us to participate in.
One of the most popular clubs is Popular Music club. We can not only make friends from different departments but also learn how to play instruments. Another welcome club is Dancing club. We do not really have time to do exercise. However, by joining Dancing club we can at the same time have fun with friends and keep fit. As for me, I would like to participate in a club which provides us chances to interact with kids. I feel relaxed and happy when I play with children. And it will be my pleasure to serve the community kindergarten or something like that.
Anyway, I believe with so many choices of clubs, the next four years will be full of fun and be colorful.
